Invitation to Huguenot Yacht Club|2025-2026 Season|Message from Frostbite Chair
Welcome to the 2025-2026 Huguenot Frostbite Racing Season!
HYC races Laser Standards, Radials, and 4.7s (ILCA 7,6,4) every Sunday afternoon from November through March. We endeavor to complete six short course races each day, with each race typically lasting from 12 to 20 minutes. The season is divided into two 10 week series, a Fall/Winter Series and a Winter/Spring Series.
Our fleet welcomes all ages and sailing ability, and we are supportive of one another. If you're not already a member of HYC, you can join us as a Winter Member for a nominal fee. After racing, we gather for food and drinks and chat about racing.
There will be special events throughout the season. We'll have legendary coach and rules expert Dave Perry join us for a Sunday on the water and video session afterwards. There is a Chili Cookoff in February. At the end of the season, we have a distance race, the Execution Rocks Race Out and Return (ERROR) Cup, followed by the season awards presentation.
We have charter boats available for the season if you need one.

HYC Laser Frostbite Mission Statement
HYC frostbiting aims to offer great racing and friendly competition during the winter, from November through March.
Our priority is keeping our sailors, mark boat drivers, and RC safe. The PRO has the final authority to decide whether racing will occur on a given day.
Our goal is to promote fair and rule-abiding sailing and to provide a platform for training and developing racing skills at all levels.
Sailors are encouraged to sail clean and fast. Aggressive and risky sailing is discouraged because of the cold temperatures, which often aggravate a maneuver gone wrong.
Any bullying towards the RC, mark boats, or fellow sailors will not be tolerated.
Anyone failing to observe Rule 2 - FAIR SAILING or Rule 69 - MISCONDUCT will not be scored for the day.
